Air
Airfare has evolved over the years. In the past, travel agents could earn commissions directly from airlines for booking flights, but that is no longer the case. We now depend on wholesalers for contract rates (nets) that allow us to add our commission for profit. As a result, we often need to impose a service fee when booking flights for our clients. If your clients have already booked their flights or have earned points for flights. You still have the ability to sell the hotel on its own. Travel coverage can protect your client not only from emergency medical costs, but also from flight delays/cancellations, baggage loss/damage, travel accidents, and unforeseen events. Travel protection must be offered to everyone package that an agent books. Most packages are non refundable and it's our responsibility as an agent to offer protection on their purchase.
