I am a new travel advisor with CM Travel and excited to share my past travel experiences with you so together we can shape your next travel dreams into reality. Now retired from my position with the Government, I can bring my work experience of strong organizational skills, Initiative thinking and having a financial background, gives me skills for setting up a travel budget and to be able to meet needs and/or requirements of different travel destinations.
My past travels have allowed me to experience local cultures, cuisine while exploring their history. I like to learn more about a country/area by travelling outside the tourist areas to get a better idea and understanding of how the locals live and thrive. In my travels, I have gone whale watching in Alaska, spending a day with Elephants in Thailand, turtle release in Costa Rica, sunrise at Ankor Wat in Cambodia and watching a daily Alms-giving (Sai Bat) ceremony in Luang Prabang Laos. Also, visiting the Long Neck Karen Village in Northern Thailand and hiking up Wat Tham Phousi to watch a traditional Buddhist release birds from a cage representing the letting go of bad luck, inviting happiness and connection to Buddhist traditions. Took a memorable 2-day river boat tour from Houayxay to Luang Prabang in Loas down the Mekong River stopping along the way at various villages and tourist destinations, just to name a few of the endless adventures. Layovers can sometimes be stressful, you might feel like you wasting a day at an airport but let me help you book a day of fun if your flight schedule gives you a long layover. I had a long layover at an airport in China, so I took the Maglev high speed train (300+ kph) to Shanghai to explore the shopping district for the day/evening. Another time I had a layover in Singapore which allowed me to leave the airport, book a hotel in the Chinatown area, explore Marina Bay and the Cultural district. Soon I will be traveling to South Africa for a Safari, and I have a long layover in Doha, I plan to explore the nearby area and attractions.
I am excited to bring all my travelling experiences to CM Travel. I want to expand on all the different options and diverse ways travelling brings so that I can include every level of mobility, desire, and passion for adventures for everyone and their travel budget.

My passion for travel
Desiring to see the world, I have tried to take as many trips and adventures as possible while I balance personal life with a full-time work schedule. Now newly retired, I am looking forward to continuing to fulfill my dreams with CM Travel, allowing this to happen. Having the many different experiences of my memorable trips to different parts of Mexico, Cuba, Thailand, Loas, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Japan, Singapour, Costa Rica, Dominican, Hawaii, and Alaska. Living and working for 2 years in Kingston Jamaica has strengthened my knowledge and love of local culture and travel. I have enjoyed learning diverse cultures, landscapes, making new friends with locals, relaxing on a beach chair, looking up to see a momma sloth and a baby playing in a tree. As well as taking cooking classes, food/city tour on motorbikes in Vietnam, shopping local night markets, climbing famous Wats, taking a 2-day Halong Bay cruise, riding a bike through the countryside checking out small villages, historical tours and so much more. I have travelled on a budget and managed to not sacrifice the comfort and enjoyment of the experience.
